Field Museum – an Introduction
The Field Museum is a popular museum of natural history in U.S. Situated on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, Field Museum works towards preservation and exhibition of objects on art, history, archaeology and science. Also known as the Field Museum of Natural History, this U.S. museum was initially founded with anthropological and biological objects assembled for the World’s Columbian Exposition. Currently, the Field Museum showcases a number of other exhibits some popular of which can be named as Sue – the largest as well as the most complete Tyrannosaurus, extensive collection of human cultural anthropology exhibits, a wide range of taxidermy collection, a wide collection of dinosaurs, and an extensive collection of Native American artifacts.
Visiting Field Museum
